How to Solve Media Player Error 0xc00d36cb in Windows PC

4. Create a new User Profile  

Suppose even changing the file’s permission doesn’t resolve this issue. Here, Your current user profile might have become corrupt. Thus, it would be best if you tried creating a new user account or try the last workaround. Here’s how to perform this task –

  • Now, Click Win + I to launch the Settings window.
  • Choose Accounts followed by Family and other users on the left pane.
  • Then, head over to the right side and click “Add someone else to this PC.”

  • This system will then prompt a Microsoft Account window to use an existing user id and password to create a new user profile.

Note that: If you don’t have another Microsoft account, click “I don’t have this person’s sign-in information.”

  • First, click “Add a user without a Microsoft account. “

  • Then, enter a username under the “Who’s going to use this PC” section and fill in the password to make this secured. 
  • Now, Microsoft may prompt to select a few questions & answers to be used if you forget the lately created password. So, Do the same, and your new user profile is all set to play the media files that were earlier causing issues.
